North Devon Wake Park

For the third week in a row I stayed in the water and while the family headed for the nearby Milky Way theme park, I spent an hour at the wake park, for a beginner’s session. The park runs a mechanical line on a small lake with various obstacles and is a good place to learn the basics before heading out on the open water behind a boat. The park is a friendly, family-run site and was really well-priced including wetsuit, helmet and board. I didn’t quite master the turns as the video shows pretty clearly, but after half an hour my arms were really starting to ache, so called it a day. Will definitely come back next time we’re in Devon, even if just to try a couple of the ramps.
